International Stop Pressure Injury Day

Worldwide STOP Pressure Injury (Ulcer) day started in 2012 following a meeting of Spanish speaking wound care organisations who agreed and signed the Declaration of Rio. This initiative aims to increase awareness of pressure injuries amongst the public, medical professionals and politicians. The European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP), acknowledging and applauding this work, joined and encouraged countries internationally to participate.

Auckland Wheelbreakers Go Back To Back
Wheelbreakers and New Zealand Captain.
Over 100 participants descended on Trust stadium in Auckland over the weekend to take out the hotly contested National Championships.
Teams from Northland through to the South Island were on display in front of one of the biggest crowds ever. In the crowd the New Zealand Wheelchair Basketball President and Coach were extremely happy with the level skill at this year’s championship and comradery the teams play with.
