A DC power adapter that can be plugged into a cigarette lighter or other DC power supply in an vehicle, SUV, 4WD, etc. comes as part of every standard Invacare XPO2® or SOLO2® Portable Oxygen Concentrator package. The DC power cord also doubles as a battery charger for the integrated internal battery or the external battery pack. By simply plugging the DC cord into the DC power supply, the XPO2 or SOLO2 can be used to generate oxygen for patient use, recharge the batteries, or do both simultaneously.

The DC power option represents another way that XPO2 and SOLO2 concentrators are one of the most convenient, flexible oxygen generating devices on the market today. The concern that a patient may have about running out of oxygen when traveling long distances, while trapped in expected stopped traffic or when oxygen is consumed from a cylinder at a faster rate than anticipated has been eliminated. The patient now has access to an unlimited oxygen supply in an operating vehicle - in other words, there are no limits to how far you can drive with and Invacare portable concentrator!
