Invacare are proud to announce the launch of the Comet and Pegasus mobility scooters.

Designed by Invacare Europe, the Comet and Pegasus are the latest mobility scooters in the Invacare New Zealand range.  The Pegasus and Comet were launched in Europe late 2008 after two years of extensive research, development and field-testing.  Invacare Europe took the time to make sure that the Comet and Pegasus would deliver on the key areas of safety, comfort and reliability.

The Comet and Pegasus definitely deliver.  Excellent new safety features include ASR (Automatic Speed Reduction) that automatically slows the scooter down when turning, reducing the risk of tipping. The new brake light with “delay” increases visibility and reduces the chance of a collision from behind.  The new ergonomically designed seat and steering tiller provide a comfortable drive and helps reduce fatigue.

The decision to launch the Comet and Pegasus in New Zealand was easy. Designed to handle the various European conditions, from the heat in Spain, the rain in the United Kingdom, the cold of a Danish winter, the flatness of the Netherlands and the hills of Switzerland, we were sure the Comet and Pegasus would handle the varied conditions here in New Zealand.  Just to make sure, we still carried out our own review with customers, which resulted in one change to the product, the colour. Invacare New Zealand is offering the Comet and Pegasus in the colour red, which is not available anywhere else in the world.
